Rooms in the historic center of Florence

Residenze Strozzi is located on Piazza della Repubblica in Florence, at Via degli Strozzi, 2.

Thanks to its enviable location, within reach of every attraction in the historic center, a stay with us lets you fully enjoy Florence and its historic, cultural, and artistic riches.

Florence’s historic center has in fact been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1982 and is considered the cradle of the Renaissance, with a concentration of art and history that’s hard to find anywhere else.

Just steps from Residenze Strozzi you’ll find the Uffizi Gallery, among the most visited museums in the world with works by Botticelli, Leonardo, and Raphael, and the Accademia Gallery, home to Michelangelo’s David. The Duomo, Santa Maria del Fiore, with Brunelleschi’s famous dome, Piazza della Signoria with Palazzo Vecchio, and the Boboli Gardens behind Palazzo Pitti round out a wealth of sights you can see almost entirely on foot, with no need for transportation.

How to reach us

By car

From the north: take the A1 highway to the Firenze Nord exit, then follow the signs for the city center.

From the south: take the A1 highway to the Firenze Sud exit, again following the signs for the city center.

Please note that Florence’s historic center is a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL). We recommend checking the access rules before arriving by car. For guests staying with us, we have an arrangement with the Borgo Ognissanti garage.

By train

If you’re traveling by train, get off at Santa Maria Novella station. From there, Residenze Strozzi is just a 5-minute walk away — the easiest way to reach us.

By air

If you land at Florence’s Amerigo Vespucci Airport, you’ll find the T2 tram line right outside the terminal, which gets you to the main train station in about 20 minutes.

If you land at Pisa’s Galileo Galilei Airport, you can take the Pisa Mover, which reaches the main train station in just a few minutes — from there, trains run straight to Florence Santa Maria Novella.
